Important Information Regarding Schoolwork for Norfolk Public School children!
To ensure students continue their learning during the extended school closure, Norfolk Public Schools has created Learning in Place plans for all grade levels. Parents should also check on their school’s website for additional activities.
For families who do not have access to the Internet, hard copies of Learning in Place plans will be provided at their child’s school on Tuesday, March 17, or at one of the school food service “grab-and-go meal” sites for students (open from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., beginning Tuesday, March 17, at Booker T. Washington HS, P.B. Young ES, Azalea Garden MS, James Monroe ES, Suburban Park ES, Lake Taylor HS, Coleman Place ES, Camp Allen ES, Oceanair ES, St. Helena ES, Norview ES, and Southside STEM Academy).
All classroom teachers will maintain daily “office hours” from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. beginning Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, March 27, (weekdays only) for students and parents/guardians to reach out to them with questions (via e-mail, Class Dojo, etc.).
We ask that parents/guardians to please remind their child(ren) how important it is to complete their Learning in Place plans before they return to school at a date to be determined.
